Global（环球）是欧洲最大的商业广播业务，拥有英国领先的商业广播品牌Heart，Capital，Capital XTRA，Smooth，Radio X，Gold和Classic FM，以及全美最受欢迎的商业新闻谈话站LBC和英国一家最大的新闻采访组织，Global Newsroom。

 

Global Awards于2018年3月1日首次举行，并取得了巨大成大。Global Awards主要是为了奖励那些在其旗下广播品牌播放的音乐，其奖项类别包括每个电台播出的歌曲，艺术家，节目和新闻。2018年第一次举行就邀请到了Andrea Bocelli（安德烈·波切利）、Ed Sheeran

（爱德华·克里斯多弗·希兰）等很多明星。

近期，环球公司（Global）宣布将于2019年推出自己的奖项活动，这是在去年首次亮相后的第二年。本次Global将与英国最大的在线零售商Very合作，时间定为2019年3月7日，地点位于伦敦哈默史密斯的Eventim Apollo.到时会有一众大咖亮相，并且当晚会有一些世界上最伟大的艺术家将在舞台上表演，包括世界上最大的女子乐队（以及首届Global Awards的三个奖项获奖者）Little Mix（混合甜心），超级明星钢琴家郎朗也在邀请名单之内，以及近年来两位最成功的英国演出-Blossoms乐队和Anne-Marie（安妮·玛丽：英国创作歌手）。
